Our placement year students are treated exactly the same as the rest of our staff. Under close supervision you will contribute to the business from day 1 getting knee-deep in real instructions and project work.
Our placement students do not rotate but are positioned with teams who understand their needs, and support them in kind.
At LSH your placement year can count towards your APC. This means it’s possible to sit your APC and qualify after just 12-18 months on a graduate scheme. We hope you agree, the potential is pretty neat!

How to apply
The application process for placement year students is similar to that of graduates.
Step 1: Complete a brief online application form, upload your CV and hit the send button
Step 2: When you have completed step 1 you will be directed to a separate website to complete 3 video questions
For your application to be considered you must finish steps 1 & 2 before the deadline. Please note, you do not have to complete the video questions straight away. Instead, we recommend you aim to finish them within a week of completing step 1.
Shortlisting: Once the window has closed on the 30th November, all applications are reviewed and a shortlist of candidates formed for the first interview stage. All applicants will receive an email to advise them if they have been successful or not.
First interviews: Interviews typically take place in mid-late January at the office you have selected.
Typically our placement interviews take around 60 mins and include competency questions and a short verbal technical assessment.
Once all the interviews have been completed, final selections will be made and successful applicants will be notified by phone. This usually happens in early February.
